Under the direction of the Director of Nursing and in collaboration as a member of the multidisciplinary team, performs assessments, plans and provides medical care and performs nursing procedures. The RN operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Rules and Regulations of Registered Nurses outlined by the Tennessee Board of Nursing and according to agency operating policies, protocols, and standards.
:Must be a graduate of a school of nursing who has passed the state board examination and be licensed by the Tennessee Board of Nursing to administer care, working under the direction of a licensed physician. Prefer 2 years of experience in nursing and experience in a residential or school setting serving children. WILL CONSIDER AN LPN WITH THE RIGHT EXPERIENCE.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move ten pounds and occasionally move up to twenty-five pounds,. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color and depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee may occasionally be required to physically restrain clients, using authorized restraint procedures as a last resort for protection of client and staff.
